# StepScroll Screen Time Control vs Trot

The clearest difference is ads: StepScroll Screen Time Control at none against Trot's shown. StepScroll Screen Time Control also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Trot's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepScroll Screen Time Control sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Trot sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
