# MyLys vs Factual Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: MyLys at every 2 days against Factual Reader's weekly. MyLys also leads on iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyLys sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Factual Reader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyLys ships an update every 2 days, Factual Reader weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
