# Countdown X vs Project

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown X at none against Project's shown. Project's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown X sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Project sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown X ships an update weekly, Project every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 10, 2026 respectively.
