# SplitSmart vs Sub

The clearest difference is ads: SplitSmart at none against Sub's shown. Sub's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SplitSmart sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Sub sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SplitSmart ships an update monthly, Sub every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
