# Fasting Tracker vs Nomu

The clearest difference is monetization model: Nomu at free against Fasting Tracker's freemium. Nomu also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Fasting Tracker's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fasting Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Nomu sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Fasting Tracker against 4.8 for Nomu. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nomu has 97 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Fasting Tracker's written reviews are positive against 86% of Nomu's.

Fasting Tracker ships an update weekly, Nomu every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
