# AppStats vs Split Expenses

The clearest difference is update cadence: Split Expenses at every 2 weeks against AppStats's every 8 months. AppStats's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppStats sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Split Expenses sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AppStats ships an update every 8 months, Split Expenses every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
