Suiyomi

Suiyomi trains one thing, and trains it well: your ability to read sheet music. "Suiyomi" comes from the Japanese "suisui yomu" — to read smoothly, without stopping to count lines. Knowing a note the moment you see it is exactly what this app trains. ■ Real staff notation, not a simplified stand-in. The thing we care about most is that every question is drawn on a proper staff, exactly as it appears in real sheet music — note positions, ledger lines, key signatures, and the way chord noteheads line up. Nothing is replaced with icons or simplified shapes. That means the notes you learn to recognize here are the same notes you'll read on the page in front of you. It plays like a game; what you take away is genuine sight-reading ability. ■ The staff moves. Notes don't appear one at a time. They line up across the staff the way they do in real music. Answer the note in the middle and the whole staff scrolls left, bringing the next note to the center. When you read music, your eyes stay slightly ahead of the note you're playing. Reading a staff that keeps moving lets you practise with that same habit. WHO IT'S FOR • Beginners on piano or any other instrument • Anyone who counts up the lines note by note • Players who want to sit down and play from a score • Students filling the gaps between lessons • Children learning music MAIN FEATURES ■ Note reading training Read the note on the staff and answer on the piano keyboard. A session can be completed in as few as 10 questions, so it fits before a lesson or on the way to work. ■ Treble and bass clef Both clefs are supported. Choose a range that matches your level, from notes that stay inside the staff to the full range with ledger lines. ■ Chord training (2, 3 and 4 notes) From two-note intervals to seventh chords. Chords that actually appear in real music show up more often, so what you practice is what you'll meet on the page. You can also pick the range: no ledger lines, standard, or full. ■ Key signatures Practice in sharp and flat keys — preparation for playing real pieces. ■ Weak point mode Notes you keep missing come up more often, so you can clear your weak spots efficiently. BUILT TO KEEP YOU GOING ■ Streak and daily progress Your practice streak and today's question count are right on the home screen. ■ Combos Consecutive correct answers build a combo, adding a bit of speed and pressure. ■ Over 80 badges Mastered notes, streaks, speed, chords — collect badges across a wide range of goals. ■ Proficiency level per note Every single note carries a proficiency level from 0 to 5, so you can see at a glance which notes you still can't read. STATISTICS • Accuracy and response time • Practice history charts • Proficiency for each note ALSO • Works offline • All records stay on your device (no account needed) • Dark mode • Sound effects and music can be turned off • Available in English and Japanese A few minutes a day. Reading music gets easier every time.

Solfe brings the study and the practice of music together: theory, plus the solfège side — ear training, sight-singing and rhythm — all in one place, at your own pace. - Music theory: 14,000+ questions across 8 categories (intervals, key signatures, scales, rhythm, terms, chords, transposition, score analysis), every one with a careful explanation. Notation questions are rendered on a real staff, with a keyboard diagram in the explanation. - Solfège: ear training, sight-singing, and rhythm. Exercises are generated on the fly, so the training never runs out. Sight-singing grades your pitch and timing on the device — your voice never leaves your phone. - Ask about a question: when an explanation doesn't land, ask about that question directly. Answers are grounded in the question, its answer, and the notation. - Today: the home screen picks what to do next - review that is due, or the level you are working through - plus one solfège exercise for when you can use your voice. - Review: spaced repetition (SRS) remembers what you solved and brings it back right before you forget. - Practice exam: 20 questions in 20 minutes, modelled on the structure of Japanese music high school and conservatory entrance exams. Free plan: every question is open - all categories and all levels, up to conservatory entrance level - with 5 sessions a day (a session is 10 questions in theory or ear training; one exercise in sight-singing). Every explanation, score, and keyboard stays visible, and spaced repetition works with a 30-question queue. Solfe Pro (subscription, 7-day free trial): no daily limit, unlimited review, a mastery map broken down by category and by material, the practice exam, and weak-spot drills.
