# Greenlight Social vs the_drop

The clearest difference is update cadence: the_drop at every 3 days against Greenlight Social's every 9 days. Greenlight Social's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Greenlight Social ships an update every 9 days, the_drop every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
