# iShotit vs Dual Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: Dual Recorder at 3.4 against iShotit's 2.0. Dual Recorder also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). iShotit's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iShotit sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Dual Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dual Recorder holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dual Recorder has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

iShotit ships an update weekly, Dual Recorder monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
