# Pact vs Screen Time Control

The clearest difference is ads: Pact at none against Screen Time Control's shown. Screen Time Control's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pact sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Screen Time Control sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pact ships an update every 2 months, Screen Time Control fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
