# Note Fold vs TreeNote

The clearest difference is ads: TreeNote at none against Note Fold's shown. Note Fold's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note Fold sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and TreeNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note Fold ships an update every 3 days, TreeNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
