# Plank vs HOLD

The clearest difference is ads: HOLD at none against Plank's shown. HOLD also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Plank's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plank sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and HOLD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plank ships an update every 2 weeks, HOLD every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
