# Math Keyboard vs Unicode

The clearest difference is rating: Unicode at 5.0 against Math Keyboard's 3.3. Unicode also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.2). Math Keyboard's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Keyboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Unicode sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unicode holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 3 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of Math Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 50% of Unicode's.

Math Keyboard ships an update every 3 weeks, Unicode every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
