# Self Notify vs Timely

The clearest difference is update cadence: Timely at every 4 days against Self Notify's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Self Notify sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year and Timely sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Self Notify ships an update every 5 weeks, Timely every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
