# DualCap vs Camera18

The clearest difference is update cadence: DualCap at every 5 days against Camera18's every 2 weeks. Camera18's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DualCap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Camera18 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DualCap ships an update every 5 days, Camera18 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
