# Pala vs What

The clearest difference is ads: What at none against Pala's shown. Pala's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pala sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and What sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pala holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 4 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Pala's written reviews are positive against 67% of What's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
