# DramaLocal vs aTwist

DramaLocal and aTwist both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of aTwist's written reviews are positive against 10% of DramaLocal's. aTwist also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). DramaLocal's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ratings volume (297 vs 61). On price, rating, ads and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. aTwist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. DramaLocal asks for nothing beyond the download.

DramaLocal holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 297 and 61 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of DramaLocal's written reviews are positive against 87% of aTwist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DramaLocal ships an update fortnightly, aTwist every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
