# Falling Filter Challenge vs Lucky Tap

The clearest difference is rating: Falling Filter Challenge at 4.6 against Lucky Tap's 2.9. Falling Filter Challenge also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 39). Lucky Tap's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (27% vs 11%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lucky Tap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Falling Filter Challenge asks for nothing beyond the download.

Falling Filter Challenge holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Falling Filter Challenge has 1.3K ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Falling Filter Challenge's written reviews are positive against 27% of Lucky Tap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Falling Filter Challenge ships an update every 4 months, Lucky Tap fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
