# Spreedy vs StoryCodex

The clearest difference is update cadence: StoryCodex at weekly against Spreedy's fortnightly. Spreedy's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spreedy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and StoryCodex sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spreedy ships an update fortnightly, StoryCodex weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
