# PrivateFace vs Maskie

The clearest difference is update cadence: Maskie at every 3 days against PrivateFace's every 9 days. Maskie also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrivateFace sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Maskie sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrivateFace ships an update every 9 days, Maskie every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
