# makemypost vs Roll

The clearest difference is ads: makemypost at none against Roll's shown. makemypost also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 74%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 weeks). Roll's advantage is ratings volume (818 vs 7) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. makemypost sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Roll sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $49.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Roll holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roll has 818 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of makemypost's written reviews are positive against 74% of Roll's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

makemypost ships an update every 2 weeks, Roll every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
