# AltMail vs iMail

The clearest difference is ads: iMail at none against AltMail's shown. AltMail's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AltMail sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and iMail sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AltMail ships an update every 2 days, iMail every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
