# ReadNotes vs Tally

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tally at daily against ReadNotes's monthly. Tally also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ReadNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Tally sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReadNotes ships an update monthly, Tally daily. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
