# VinylScout vs Bothside

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bothside at every 6 days against VinylScout's fortnightly. Bothside also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VinylScout sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Bothside sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VinylScout ships an update fortnightly, Bothside every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
