# ProbePad vs Apperture

The clearest difference is update cadence: ProbePad at weekly against Apperture's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProbePad sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and Apperture sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProbePad ships an update weekly, Apperture every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
