# Magnates vs Archmage Idle

The clearest difference is rating: Magnates at 5.0 against Archmage Idle's 4.5. Magnates also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%). Archmage Idle's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (72 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magnates sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Archmage Idle sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magnates holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Archmage Idle has 72 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Magnates's written reviews are positive against 77% of Archmage Idle's.

Magnates ships an update fortnightly, Archmage Idle every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
