# Notes vs LearnMap

The clearest difference is rating: Notes at 4.5 against LearnMap's 3.9. Notes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). LearnMap's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. LearnMap asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LearnMap has 36 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notes ships an update every 6 weeks, LearnMap every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
