# Notes vs Fathom

The clearest difference is device support: Notes at 3 against Fathom's 1. Notes also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year and Fathom sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
