# Notes vs Jotter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Jotter at every 4 days against Notes's every 5 weeks. Notes's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year and Jotter sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Jotter every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
