# FixerUp Homeowner vs SPECS

The clearest difference is update cadence: FixerUp Homeowner at weekly against SPECS's monthly. FixerUp Homeowner also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.1). SPECS's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FixerUp Homeowner against 5.0 for SPECS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SPECS has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FixerUp Homeowner ships an update weekly, SPECS monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
