# The Core Code vs Ember

The clearest difference is ads: The Core Code at none against Ember's shown. Ember's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Core Code sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Ember sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Core Code ships an update every 3 weeks, Ember every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
