# Cortex vs TensorChat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TensorChat at none against Cortex's 1. TensorChat also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 4 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cortex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TensorChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cortex ships an update every 4 months, TensorChat daily. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
