# Cortex vs 1% Better

The clearest difference is update cadence: 1% Better at every 3 days against Cortex's every 4 months. Cortex's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cortex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and 1% Better sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cortex ships an update every 4 months, 1% Better every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
