# Become vs Flashd

The clearest difference is ads: Become at none against Flashd's shown. Flashd's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Become sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Flashd sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Become ships an update every 2 months, Flashd every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
