# Sync vs GemSeer

The clearest difference is rating: Sync at 4.2 against GemSeer's 3.0. Sync also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 2). GemSeer's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sync sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and GemSeer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sync has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sync ships an update every 3 weeks, GemSeer every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
