# MeBeforeApps vs Shelly

The clearest difference is ads: Shelly at none against MeBeforeApps's shown. MeBeforeApps's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MeBeforeApps sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Shelly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MeBeforeApps ships an update every 9 days, Shelly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
