# EggVentures vs Pathlings

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pathlings at free against EggVentures's free with in-app purchases. Pathlings also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 60%). EggVentures's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (27 vs 6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EggVentures sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Pathlings sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EggVentures holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 27 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of EggVentures's written reviews are positive against 83% of Pathlings's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EggVentures ships an update every 2 days, Pathlings weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
