# GitWriter vs git.md

The clearest difference is update cadence: git.md at daily against GitWriter's weekly. GitWriter's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GitWriter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and git.md sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GitWriter ships an update weekly, git.md daily. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
