# Readrrr vs Rapid Reader

The clearest difference is monetization model: Rapid Reader at free with in-app purchases against Readrrr's subscription. Rapid Reader also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Readrrr's advantage is ratings volume (38 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readrrr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Rapid Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rapid Reader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readrrr has 38 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Readrrr ships an update fortnightly, Rapid Reader every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
