# Readrrr vs focus.music

The clearest difference is rating: Readrrr at 4.7 against focus.music's 3.7. Readrrr also leads on ratings volume (39 vs 6). focus.music's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (50% vs 29%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readrrr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and focus.music sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readrrr holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readrrr has 39 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Readrrr's written reviews are positive against 50% of focus.music's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Readrrr ships an update fortnightly, focus.music every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
