# Readrrr vs PenLoad

The clearest difference is update cadence: PenLoad at every 3 days against Readrrr's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readrrr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and PenLoad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readrrr ships an update fortnightly, PenLoad every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
