# Readrrr vs Eddy

The clearest difference is rating: Eddy at 5.0 against Readrrr's 4.5. Eddy also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Readrrr's advantage is ratings volume (48 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readrrr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Eddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readrrr has 48 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Readrrr ships an update fortnightly, Eddy every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
