# FlowLocate vs Trace

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FlowLocate at none against Trace's 3. Trace's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. FlowLocate asks for nothing beyond the download.

FlowLocate ships an update every 5 weeks, Trace every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
