Free to use: email alerts, reminders, widgets, Apple Watch, the daily deadline and up to 3 people. Dead Man's Switch checks that you're OK. Choose how often you'll check in, anywhere from once a day to once a year. Miss your deadline and your phone reminds you. Still no check-in after the grace window, and the people you chose get an email with the message you wrote. It's for anyone who lives alone, hikes or travels solo, has a health condition, or wants the people who care about them to know if something is wrong. CHECK IN WITH ONE TAP • From the app, a widget, a notification, Siri, Control Center or the Action Button • Or automatically: a Shortcuts automation can check you in when you stop your morning alarm • Or press and hold the app icon and tap Check in • On Apple Watch: see the time left on your watch face and check in from your wrist • On your Lock Screen: in the last 8 hours, the time left and a Check in button that works without unlocking • A live countdown shows exactly how long you have, down to the second • Every check-in is confirmed by our server, so what you see is what will happen • Every day by a set time: pick a time, say 9 PM, and that's your deadline every day. Checking in early doesn't move it KNOW WHAT HAPPENS, AND WHEN • See when your contacts would be emailed, and who • Reminders every day and before your deadline • Still no check-in an hour before anyone is told? Your phone can ring like an alarm clock, even on silent (iOS 26) • Settings > Reminders lists what your phone will do next: each reminder in order, then when your people are told • A grace window before anyone is emailed • Send a test email so your contacts know what to expect • If you check in after an alert went out, your contacts get an "all clear" email • Each alert email has a button your people tap to say they're checking on you, and the app shows who did YOUR MESSAGE, YOUR PEOPLE • Write one message for everyone, or a personal one for each person • One tap adds what they'd need: your address, where the spare key is, who relies on you, health notes, who to call • Your contacts don't need the app. They just get an email • When you add someone, they get one short heads-up email from us, so a real alert is never a surprise (you can switch it off) • A typo in someone's address (like gmial.com) is caught when you add them • The people you add are kept on our server only to send your alerts, never shared or sold, and deleted when you turn the switch off. The app asks before anything is sent TEXT ALERTS (US AND CANADA) • Your contacts can get a text as well as the email, once they say yes with one tap • Texts come in small packs. Emails are always free AWAY MODE • Going somewhere without signal? Pick the day you're back, and nobody is emailed before then PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account to create • No location tracking DEAD MAN'S SWITCH PRO (OPTIONAL) • Safety timer: a hike, a run, a first date? Set 1 to 23 hours and where you're going. Not back in time? Your people get your message with that note on top. Start it in the app, with Siri or from the app icon • Up to 10 people instead of 3 • App icons: Pulse, Green, Moon or Daylight on your Home Screen instead of the candle • Yearly $9.99 with the first week free, monthly $1.99, or lifetime $19.99 once • Bought the app before it was free? Pro is included • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID settings. Check In Together

Check In Together helps people who live alone, and the people who care about them, stay connected with simple, regular check-ins. FOR A PARENT WHO LIVES ALONE They get a short call from an AI voice, or a text, once a day at the time you set for them. They don't need the app or a smartphone, just a mobile number that can get texts. Nothing starts until they reply YES to our text, which tells them the check-ins are automated and use AI, and that you can read what they say and an AI summary. They can reply STOP anytime. If a call or text goes unanswered, we try again a few more times that day, as long as a contact who agreed can be alerted. With the default settings, if a check-in is still unanswered an hour after its time, we text your contacts who agreed to get alerts and have alerts on. You're added as a contact automatically. If nobody qualifies, nobody is alerted. On calls and texts, any reply counts as checking in, even one like "I fell", and so can a call picked up by voicemail. Don't rely on anything said during a check-in to alert anyone. A text alert can be delayed or fail to arrive, and a delivered one may not be seen right away. WHAT YOU SEE A short summary of each completed check-in, and a recap of what they've shared over time. Tap a recent check-in to read the conversation. AI-written summaries and recaps can miss things or get them wrong, and aren't medical advice. See where each emergency contact stands; if none has agreed and has alerts on, the app warns you when you open it. Look after more than one person from one account. LIVE ALONE YOURSELF? Check in by answering a few questions in the app, once a day at a time you choose. You don't need to give your own number, but setup needs one emergency contact's name and number. In-app check-ins rely on your phone, its notifications and a data connection. If your check-in doesn't reach us for any reason, including checking in with no signal, it counts as missed and your contacts who agreed are alerted, unless you reopen the app before the wait ends. THE LIMITS • It doesn't detect falls or emergencies. • On calls and texts, a missed check-in alerts contacts only after the wait has passed. Nothing is sent when something happens between check-ins. With one check-in a day and the default 1-hour wait, about 25 hours can pass; with the longest wait, about 44 hours on calls and texts and about 8 days in the app. • Each missed call or text check-in sends at most one alert text to each contact who agreed. We never call your contacts or emergency services. • Unanswered calls and texts are retried at most 5 more times that day (6 attempts in all), even after contacts are alerted, and not at all if no contact who agreed has alerts on. • After three missed days in a row, call and text check-ins pause. Contacts who agreed get one notice, and then nobody is checked on or alerted until the account holder opens the app; contacts aren't told when it resumes. • Reinstalling or a new phone starts a new account; the old one can't be recovered and its contacts may get an alert. • Check-ins by text and call, and alerts to contacts, work with US phone numbers. English only. AI AND PRIVACY Every completed check-in is summarized by AI (OpenAI for voice calls, Anthropic for summaries). Call audio is processed live by our AI provider; a transcript is saved. We don't sell your data, don't use advertising identifiers, and don't track you across other apps or websites. Settings → Delete Account stops all check-ins and alerts and permanently deletes your schedule, history, summaries, recap and contacts from our database. It can't be undone. Check In Together is a check-in and text-alert tool. It is not a medical device, a monitoring service or an emergency-response service, and no one at Check In Together monitors check-ins or responds to alerts. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US). Message and data rates may apply. Support: support@checkintogetherapp.com
