# Bothside vs Crate

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bothside at every 6 days against Crate's every 2 months. Bothside also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bothside sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per year and Crate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bothside ships an update every 6 days, Crate every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
