# Penta Notes vs EchoMind

The clearest difference is update cadence: EchoMind at every 5 days against Penta Notes's fortnightly. Penta Notes's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Penta Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and EchoMind sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Penta Notes ships an update fortnightly, EchoMind every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
