# Shift vs Hero habits

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shift at weekly against Hero habits's every 3 weeks. Hero habits's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hero habits sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
