# SharkZip vs File

The clearest difference is price: File at Free against SharkZip's $1.99. SharkZip's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

File is free to download; SharkZip costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SharkZip ships an update every 5 days, File fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
