# Eclipta vs Chronicler

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Eclipta at 17.6 against Chronicler's 26.4. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eclipta sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Chronicler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eclipta ships an update every 9 days, Chronicler every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
