# MongolAI vs Codex Maps

The clearest difference is update cadence: MongolAI at every 4 days against Codex Maps's monthly. MongolAI also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MongolAI sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Codex Maps sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MongolAI ships an update every 4 days, Codex Maps monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
